So I've seen on twitter and other sites that a lot of you are freshman this year so I thought it would be good to give some advice because I know that being a freshman could be pretty scary.
TIPS:
- Act Natural: Don't let them know that you're scared just act like you don't care at all, act like you are comfortable with all and smile to everybody because c'mon smiles are free and it can brighten up someone's day. Don't act bitchy either, and if someone say a comment just ignore them or take it as a joke for example if someone tells you: "You're fat" you answer "I know man that pizza that I ate yesterday was damn good". Because what they're trying to do is get you mad and you won't give them what they want if you keep acting like you don't care they will leave you alone.
- Don't be afraid to ask: If you don't understand something in class just raise your hand or go to the teacher and ask her/him. Teachers are supposed to help you but if they are not good teachers enough and don't want to explain again just go to one of the kids in class there's nothing wrong with that. Oh and if you don't know where your classroom is just ask a teacher, that's pretty normal the first days of school.
- Lunch Time: Okay I know this can be really stressful and scary but you'll survive. If you don't like the food in the cafeteria, you can bring food from your house. But if you DO eat at the cafeteria and you're worried about the "you can't sit with us" haha c'mon guys that was just a movie, in real life they'll not be that rude but to make you feel more comfortable just take a look around and the ones you think that look the nicest just go and ask them don't be afraid just be like: "hey, can I sit here?" If they tell you that you can't, don't feel bad they're just stupid people. Also another tip for this is, if you think about it you can sit wherever you want, that's a public place right? so if you don't want to ask just sit there and if they give you a weird look you tell them: "Oh sorry, I thought this was a public place, my name is____"and introduce yourself, BUT don't say it bitchy just smile.
- Social Life: It's good to make friends so you don't feel alone. Just go to one of the girls/boys in your class that you would like to talk to and introduce yourself. Now I know keeping a conversation could be really difficult for some of you but some of the topics you can ask them are: how was summer, if they're enjoying school, you can ask about something of the class and then you keep talking don't be shy because what's the worst that could happen?
- Study: Guys it is REALLY important to study hard, I know I know is SUPER boring but it keeps you distracted and active and it's worth it because when you see the good grades you feel so proud of yourself and your family too. And also you're preparing for college or high school or even middle school so it's gonna get harder. So yeah remember to study and do the homeworks.
Ok guys those are some tips but the MOST important one is, if someone is bullying you PLEASE talk to somebody because bullying is something really really serious and believe me there's someone out there that cares. Talk to your friends or parents or even teachers. Maybe you think that they're busy and they don't care but they do. If you don't want to talk to them for some reason, then up there where it says "links" those are the sites where you can find me so PLEASE talk to me I will try to help you ok?
So that pretty much concludes my post don't worry too much about school that's just a time of your life that will end and I'm sure you'll survive. If it makes feel better I'll tell you, I SURVIVED SCHOOL haha and here where I live are pretty mean like when you're a freshman they all go around you and make you dance a very embarrassing dance that we do here and if you don't do it they throw eggs, water balloons or even shaving cream and sometimes if you even do the dance they do it either way and I survived to that.
So I know you can, please remember that if you need to talk with somebody I'm here for you.
Follow my blog I'll try to be here more often
I love you, byeeeeee.
